Thanks for the clarification. I was doing a literal translation from the two words, ‘one’ (odno) + ‘class’ (klassniki) but as you and my Russian collegues have just corrected me – putting the two words together changes the meaning to ‘classmates’ (those of one class).

The complexities of this language will never cease to amaze me. I’ve been learning Russian for a year now but still have a long journey ahead of me!

I just read the chart and didn’t click that it was in Russian when I first posted. I guess my Russian lessons have come on well recently! ;-) With the birth of our daughter I’ve been really working on learning more. I’ll be debating in Runet before long!
